Noran Neurological Clinic is seeking a board certified Neurologist/Neurohospitalist to provide hospitalist and stoke coverage at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and its comprehensive stroke program. Adult Physician Assistant

We currently have openings for  Adult Physician Assistants at our Minneapolis, Blaine, and new state of the art Lake Elmo location opening in 2015.

Job Description:
- This permanent position involves working in a busy office setting, with 30 primary physicians providing comprehensive neurological services. 
- Time will be spent seeing patients in an outpatient clinical setting for routine follow-up care. 
- Services include assessing patients, performing exams, updating patient health records, ordering and reviewing testing, providing educational training, as well as other services as needed.
- Our physician assistants are also responsible for assisting our physician with phone messages, refills requests, prior authorizations, and other items as needed.

Clinical Front Desk / Check Out (Part-time Minneapolis)

Noran Neurological Clinic has been serving the Greater Minneapolis-St Paul Area for the past years. The Clinic is proud to be one of the Star Tribune's Top Workplaces for our 5th year in a row! The position would primarily be based in Minneapolis and would be from 7-4pm Saturday & Sunday. This position is now available.

This position involves assisting at our front desk working with 10-15 providers a day:

  • greeting and checking in over 100 patients daily
  • updating insurance and collecting patient copays and balances
  • rooming patients

Additionally it would involve scheduling tests our providers order and completing lab orders.

Human Resources Manager

Noran Neurological Clinic is looking for a highly skilled and experienced HR professional to fulfill a Human Resources Manager role.  We are looking for someone who has experience providing quality HR services with a primary focus on recruiting and employee relations management.  The position will spend time at each of our Twin Cities clinics on a rotating basis to provide our employees with easy accessibility to HR.
This individual will ensure understanding of and compliance with Human Resources policies and activities on the part of managers and staff. This person applies professional knowledge and personal judgment to a variety of technical, staff-related and managerial problems and issues.
This position is also responsible for leading recruitment and retention for the company which includes performing searches for high quality talent, coaching managers on effective interviewing, facilitating new employee orientation and developing retention programs.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about partnering with management and staff to resolve issues and implementing strategies to meet HR and organizational goals and objectives.  This individual will also be someone who has strong interpersonal skills, values relationships, excels at clarifying priorities, communicating with multiple stakeholders and developing action plans. The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking for an opportunity to stay and grow with an organization long-term.  
Further requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Organizational Development or equivalent work experience required.
  • Five or more years of experience in a similar position required, preferably in a health care environment.
  • Three to five years of demonstrated knowledge of and skill in employee relations and performance management required.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action guidelines and laws.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, including a proven ability to balance multiple tasks.

  • This is a full-time opportunity. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. Typical schedule will be Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate client needs.     Paid Time Off (PTO)
    Full-time and part-time employees are offered a flexible PTO program. Employees who are eligible, accrue paid time off that may be used for vacation, holidays, illness, or any other time they find it necessary to be away from work. Our time off schedule* is as follows:

    1-4 Years: 25 days/year
    5-10 Years: 30 days/year
    11-16 Years: 35 days/year
    17 + Years: 40 days/year

    *Pro-rated for part-time employees

    Health/Dental Coverage
    We offer comprehensive medical and dental coverage through Medica and Delta Dental for full and part-time employees. After two years of employment, Noran Clinic pays the premium for Delta Dental.

    Flexible Spending Accounts
    This benefit allows employees to have health and dental premiums, as well as medical, dental, and/or dependent care expense dollars, withheld from their paychecks on a pre-tax basis.

    Life Insurance
    We are proud to provide an employer-paid life insurance benefit equal to one time the employee's annualized wages for full-time employees. We also offer a voluntary life insurance program that allows coverage election for employee, spouse and children.

    Long Term Disability
    We offer long term disability insurance to provide income if an employee needs to be off work past 90 days.

    Retirement Plans
    Noran Clinic offers employees an extremely generous 401(k) and Roth Profit Sharing Plan. Our plan is a tax qualified 401(k) and Roth Profit Sharing Plan and is the Clinic's method of encouraging employees to set aside funds for retirement. Employees are eligible to begin participating in the plan the first of the month following 30 days of service. Matches and Profit Sharing contributions are made by the employer after one year of service.

    Educational Expense/Tuition Reimbursement
    Noran Clinic feels that skills and knowledge are critical to the success of the our clinic. Noran Clinic encourages professional development and allows full-time and part-time employees to apply for tuition assistance for courses directly related to their job responsibilities after being employed for one year. This enables employees to acquire additional skills and knowledge to enhance personal development and improve their current job performance.

    Uniform Allowances
    Employees required to wear uniforms will be provided a uniform allowance once every two years.
